Canine Distemper Virus, Influenza, Mycoplasma, Adenovirus type-2, Parainfluenza, Bordetella bronchiseptica Real-time PCR Test Kit
Canine Distemper Virus, Influenza, Mycoplasma, Adenovirus type-2, Parainfluenza, Bordetella bronchiseptica Real-time PCR Test Kit can be used to detect CDV, CIV, CPIV, MC, CAV-2 and BB nucleic acid in canine oropharynx, nasopharyngeal and eye swab sample.
Basic information
Canine distemper virus (CDV) is a contagious and serious disease caused by a virus that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of puppies and dogs. Canine influenza (CI), or dog flu, is a highly contagious viral infection affecting dogs and also cats. Influenza viruses belong to the family Orthomyxoviridae.
Canine parainfluenza virus (CPIV) is a highly contagious respiratory virus, also known as canine cough. Although the respiratory signs may resemble those of canine influenza, they are unrelated viruses and require different vaccines for protection.
Mycoplasma canis (MC) is an opportunistic bacterial pathogen that may colonize dogs and cattle. It has also been associated with respiratory or urinary tract infections in dogs.
Canine Adenovirus type II (CAV-2) infection is a common but transient contagious disease of the respiratory tract of dogs, causing mild fever, oculonasal discharge, coughing, and poor weight gain.
Bordetella bronchiseptica (BB) is a small, gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium of the genus Bordetella. It can cause infectious bronchitis in dogs and other animals, but rarely infects humans.
This kit uses fluorescence probe PCR (RT-PCR) method to detect the deserved gene of CDV, CIV, CPIV, MC, CAV-2 and BB, which is helpful for diagnosis, monitoring and epidemiological investigation of CDV, CIV, CPIV, MC, CAV-2 and BB.
