鳥肉腫白血病ウイルス (ASLV) は、鶏に感染して癌を引き起こす可能性がある内因性レトロウイルスです。実験的には、他の種の鳥や哺乳類にも感染する可能性があります。 ASLV は、結合組織の形成に寄与する細胞であるニワトリ胚線維芽細胞内で複製します。リンパ性白血病はこの病気の最も一般的な形態であり、徐々に発症し、低死亡率が持続し、滑液包の新視症が典型的に現れます。
